The trustees of Nisa-Nashim are horrified and shocked at the ‘Punish a Muslim’ letter which has been posted to various people and locations around the country.

Nisa-Nashim works to bring Jewish and Muslim women together to get to know one another and to address the root causes of anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim hatred and we stand in solidarity with our fellow Muslim sisters and communities to condemn this letter in the strongest terms.

We encourage Jewish women and people from all backgrounds to reach out to their Muslim neighbours with messages or letters of love rather than letters of hate. This is a frightening time for Muslims in Britain and we should reassure and show solidarity where we can.

There is no place for this type of incitement of hatred against British Muslims in the U.K. Now is the time for communities to come together and not to be complacent in the face of threats and violence.
