Last night, Nisa-Nashim hosted a warm and reflective online Chanukah candle lighting, bringing Muslim and Jewish participants together in the shared spirit of light, connection and solidarity.
The event included a brief introduction to the festival of Chanukah, exploring its themes of resilience, hope and the power of light in times of darkness. Muslim and Jewish attendees then offered thoughtful reflections on what light means within their own traditions and personal lives, creating a rich and respectful exchange across faiths.
Guests also shared their own chanukiahs, each with its own story, history or personal significance, adding a deeply human and celebratory dimension to the evening.
The gathering concluded with a moment of silence for Bondi, holding those affected in our thoughts and prayers.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening one of reflection, remembrance and shared light.
