On 23 March Nisa-Nashim, Religions for Peace Women of Faith Network, The Persian Advice Bureau and The Jewish Vegetarian Society hosted an Iftar celebration for Jewish and Muslim women from North London to connect and share experiences and a meal with asylum seekers and refugees staying at local hotels. We cooked together in the kitchen of the Jewish Vegetarian society which was a lovely bonding experience. On the menu was Turkish red lentil soup with pita and hummus, butternut and chickpea curry with rice and roasted veg, followed by fruit skewers. We had a Muslim and a Jewish women talk about Ramadan and Pesach and we had a lovely evening chatting and eating!
