On 23 and 24 April Nisa-Nashim co-ordinated an impressive Eid gift collection.

Nisa-Nashim group members, Religions for Peace, Persian Advice Bureau and New Citizens Gateway worked together to distribute Eid gifts for asylum- seeking children staying at three North London hotels.

Nisa-Nashim members of Bushey, North Finchley, Golders Green and London Book Club came together to collect, pack and distribute the gifts.

Project co-ordinator Daniella reported back on the numbers:

“It’s been a hectic few weeks, but it’s paid off. I didn’t doubt we could all make a difference together, but I was inspired everyday by the reach and generosity of the responses to this project, after I set up a simple Amazon gift list for Eid Gifts for Asylum Seeking Children. Nisa-Nashim’s network really gave this project legs! What a community to be a part of.

“Here’s what we all achieved:
🎁 310 gift bags for ages 0-18
🎁 More than 4500 individual items
